You can create a bot to manage a Twitter account, or create a Twitter account for your bot.

First, create your bot, and your Twitter account. Also sign into your Twitter account.

Unfortunately forking a popular bot can be very difficult.
The issue is that the bot's entire database is cloned when forking, and this requires no connected users to that database.

One has been trying to fork the Brain Bot inorder to create own pet twitter project, but keep getting "

org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: source database "botlibre_819" is being accessed by other users

The initial email support is now available from the Email tab under Admin.

You can connect to any pop3 or imaps service such as Gmail. The bot will answer any unread emails.

Also, since this update updated the AI self files, it is recommended to Rebootstrap your bot (from the Memory tab). This will update its state machine scripts to be current, otherwise it will not be able to process the new enhancements such as math and understanding.

Be very careful when Rebootstrapping, it will delete all of your bot's state machine programs, including the ones you added, or it wrote itself. Make sure you backup any of your scripts you added first. Rebootstrap

Yes, a good idea. I would like to add an option to disallow anonymous access. Also options to only learn from administrators, or trusted users.

Currently you can create your bot as private, and control who has access to it. I will look into adding an option to not list a bot in public.

Just thought I'd suggest this while it is in my mind. What about a feature that only allows members of BotLibre to talk to your bot? Or perhaps the ability to IP ban certain people from talking to it? Or maybe only allowing the bot to be spoken to in certain places? (e.g. bot isn't listed in "Browse" section but can be seen on "www.website.com") Thought of this when an anonymous user started messing up my bot and asking inappropriate questions.

The issue should be fixed now. Also you should be able to add multiple RSS feeds, separated by a new line. Please let me know if your problem has been resolved.

Over 400.... also is there a way to have more than 1 rss feed or change the amount of time bot sleeps between postings?

It seems to be related to a limit in the number of friends in the Twitter API. How many friends does the user failing have? I will look into it in more detail and get back to you.

Okay this issue is only happening on my pre existing accounts.... it did not happen on a new account.... any advise?

Okay new issue.... on twitter I get this error array in my log

2013-12-27 10:18:56.557 - SEVERE -- 403:The request is understood, but it has been refused. An accompanying error message will explain why. This code is used when requests are being denied due to update limits (https://support.twitter.com/articles/15364-about-twitter-limits-update-api-dm-and-following).

Good to hear it is working. The Twitterbots check their status every 30 minutes, so there may be at most a 30 minute delay in a response.

I am not seeing ai activity through twitter.... it shows I am connected.... Did I miss something? Its not auto friending, or responding to direct messages
